Charlotte is an experienced acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner with a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, awarded through Kingston University. She trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element acupuncture, combining these approaches to provide holistic and individually tailored treatment.

Charlotte has undertaken extensive postgraduate training and works as a specialist in fertility, reproductive health and women’s health. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture and regularly works with individuals and couples at all stages of their fertility journey, whether trying to conceive naturally or undergoing IVF and other assisted reproductive treatments. Her work includes pre-conception care, preparation for fertility treatment and acupuncture alongside stimulation, egg collection and embryo transfer.

She has a particular interest in complex fertility cases and regularly supports women experiencing polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) – formerly known as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) – endometriosis, adenomyosis, irregular or absent cycles, painful or heavy periods, hormonal imbalances and other menstrual and reproductive health concerns. Charlotte also works with women through pregnancy and the hormonal transitions of perimenopause and menopause.

Her approach brings together the principles of Chinese medicine with an understanding of Western reproductive medicine and current fertility research. She has a strong interest in nutrition and lifestyle medicine and, where appropriate, incorporates personalised dietary, lifestyle and supplement guidance alongside acupuncture. Charlotte is committed to looking at the wider picture of a person’s health rather than treating symptoms in isolation.

Recognising the close relationship between physical and emotional health, Charlotte trained in Compassionate Inquiry under Dr Gabor Maté, qualifying as a practitioner in 2020. This therapeutic training informs her understanding of the effects of stress and emotional strain on health and wellbeing and allows her to offer particularly sensitive support to those navigating the emotional demands of fertility difficulties and treatment.

Alongside her specialist fertility and women’s health work, Charlotte treats a broad range of general and musculoskeletal conditions. Her additional postgraduate training includes Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese therapeutic massage, cosmetic acupuncture, EFT and NLP, enabling her to draw on a broad range of therapeutic skills while keeping acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the centre of her practice.

Following graduation, Charlotte completed the Neal’s Yard graduate programme for therapists and spent a year volunteering with a number of charities, including an East London cancer charity and an emergency relief project at Grenfell. These experiences helped shape the compassionate and patient-centred approach that continues to underpin her clinical work.

Charlotte is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA), Acupuncture Fertility Network (AFN) and Acupuncture for Childbirth Team (ACT) and is fully insured and licensed. She is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertakes further training, keeping up to date with current research across both Chinese and Western medicine.
